Accurate GPS Tracking and ELD Compliance is needed to put your mind at rest
A truck full of furniture and appliances is too expensive to lose sight of. Even though smartphones have gotten better and more reliable when it comes to giving GPS coordinates, sometimes you need a bit more accuracy. It’s just nice to know that you are not dependent on the driver keeping their phone on or turning on their GPS. Being able to track a truck using a hard-wired device to always know where the truck is, brings peace of mind.
When your drivers are on the road their driving habits, particularly bad driving habits can be a liability for you. You want to be able to track bad driving habits such as speeding, harsh braking, hard acceleration, and harsh cornering so that you can train them to become better drivers before accidents happen. Also, you want to know who are your good drivers are, to be able to acknowledge them.
If your deliveries require drivers to drive over 100 miles daily, you are required to use an ELD for DOT compliance on Records of Duty.
